A Full Day Immersion Program Connecting with the Spiritual side of the Natural World

With a Focus on Journaling as a Learning Tool

The Spirit of Plants Plants can heal our bodies, but they also heal our spirits. Each plant has a unique spiritual personality, as well as physical healing attributes.

Throughout history people have used plants as an integral part of their spiritual ceremonies. In this workshop we will learn about some of these powerful plants and their ability to help our emotional well being. Flower essences are a wonderful example of this ability.

This workshop will explore in depth some of my favorite plants that have been used for many different levels of healing throughout the ages.

Lise Fuller, an herbalist has worked with plants for as long as she can remember. She teaches about the medicinal and spiritual properties of plants in the Adirondack and Capital regions and is an herbal practitioner. She lives in Queensbury, NY.

Sacred Trees-Trees are givers of life. Often called the lungs of the world, trees are major producers of oxygen. The materials we use for writing, building and furnishing our homes and gardens would not be possible without trees.

Trees however have a more spiritual side. Throughout human history trees have been objects of devotion and adoration-regarded as sentient beings. Here in the west we have been trained to think of trees as merely another resource when they are so much more. Rediscover the sacred qualities of trees with this workshop

Drew Monthie is an Ecologist, Garden Designer, and Educator specializing in Native Plants. He Resides in Queensbury, NY.

Creating Positive Energy in Your Garden, a Practical Look at Understanding Chi

This workshop will focus on the emotional well being of the garden and how its energy or Chi are affected by elements such as shapes, texture, color and sound.

The balance of natural elements is crucial for creating positive energy in the garden. Chi is also affected by the energy of objects within the garden and their spatial relationships with each other.

The journaling exercise will take place in the gardens allowing time to explore and understand, first hand, the principles presented in the lecture.

David Campbell is a Garden Designer and Horticulturist based in Schroon Lake, NY

Creating Sacred Space with Nature-Explore the nature of sacredness with the intention of co-creating with nature a sacred space. We will attune with the four directions, with the energy of the land, and with our own creative power to find that special place that is calling us. Each participant will be invited to create their own personal sacred space through this simple exercise in nature. Bring a special stone that you would like to incorporate in your creation.

The symposium will close with a labyrinth walk guided by Marjolaine.

Marjolaine Arsenault is a Garden Designer. Her business is The Garden Spirit. She specializes in labyrinths and meditative gardens. She lives in North Creek, NY.
